ABOUT YOUR HOST - From Boston MA, Douglas discovered his love of theater and movies at a young age and he has been performing on stage ever since. He studied at New England Conservatory in Boston and the famed American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. Douglas can wear many hats. To mention a few, he has performed onstage in such shows as THE LION KING and HAMLET. He was Co-Producer of the indie film THE GENIUS CLUB, starring Tom Sizemore and Stephen Baldwin. And was Casting Director and featured in a hilarious cameo in the recent indie film SUING THE DEVIL, starring Malcolm McDowell and Tom Sizemore. He has worked both in casting and development.

State of Mind with Bud Leslie explores a therapeutic issue each episode that affects us all.  With the premise that What you live with, you learn; what you learn you practice;  what you practice, you become, Bud provides you with the tools to begin a journey of self-exploration that guides you to a happier state of mind. With guest experts and co-hosts, Bud discusses topics ranging from procrastination, social media and cell phone addictions, parenting, sex, divorce, anger, debting, to a myriad of relationship issues and many more. As a seasoned practitioner, Bud deploys an incisive, but lighthearted approach to understanding ourselves and those we love and believes change does not always have to be hard or painful. Learning that you are not alone with your problems can be the important beginning of your healing.  He talks to authors and experts in their fields and looks into cutting-edge theories and interventions, as well as time proven tools for change.

Your Host: Bud Leslie is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has been in Private Practice for 17 years.  He currently works with individuals, couples, and families.   In addition to his private practice, he has worked for AIDS Project Los Angeles, Verdugo Mental Health, and the Glendale Unified School District.  He has taught the workshop, Breaking the Barriers to Creativity, which is based on his research and writing, using Cognitive/Behavioral Therapy.  Bud has served on the faculties of CalArts, The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and California State University, Dominguez Hills.  He combines a creative background with his therapeutic work to bring you to a more positive State of Mind.
